Couple of people caution interviewed in relation to alleged sacrilege in Baulevu

Deputy Police Commissioner Itendra Nair says they have caution interviewed a couple of people in relation to alleged sacrilege at the Nav Durga Temple in Baulevu.

Nair says their investigations are continuing and no one has been charged as yet.

Vineshwar Sharma who is the priest had earlier told us that their temple was broken into and the holy book, Ramayan was set on fire last month.

He said they managed to put out the fire just in time and are grateful that they were able to save the temple from being engulfed in flames.
