Corrections Service exhumes 5 graves after getting consent from families and approval from Health Ministry

The Fiji Corrections Service has confirmed that it has successfully exhumed five graves at Nasinu Cemetery to realign its boundary with the proposed Nakasi Market.

The Corrections Service says all protocols relating to such operations were followed to allow the efficient execution of the work.

Deputy Commissioner Apakuki Qura confirms that all the families concerned had granted their consent and they also had an approval from the Ministry of Health for this operation to proceed.
