Cop remanded for allegedly stealing groceries

A Police Sergeant charged with theft has been remanded in custody by the Nausori Magistrates Court.

Sunita Devi allegedly stole $30 worth of groceries from Max Value Supermarket in Nausori.

The case has been adjourned to 19th August.

Chief Operations Officer SSP Abdul Khan says they will not hesitate to arrest their own if they have been found to be on the other side of the law.
