Control and good substitutions won us the match - Ben Ryan
Apisai Domolailai on attack against Samoa in Fiji's first pool match.

Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has said their chances of winning the HSBC 7s Series would have been affected if they would have lost to England in their last pool match of the Singapore 7s last night.

Ryan said they had to front up and play against an England side that was playing well.

He said they had control of the game and also made good substitutions.

Fiji advanced to the Cup quarterfinals after defeating England 26-12.

Semi Kunatani has been ruled out of the Singapore 7s due to a hamstring injury he picked up in the match against Samoa.

Fiji will play Australia at 3.58pm today in the first Cup quarterfinal.

South Africa will take on New Zealand at 4.20pm while Argentina will play Samoa at 4.42pm in the third Cup quarterfinal.

France will play Kenya at 5.04pm in the last Cup quarterfinal.

Meanwhile, the Cup semifinals start at 8.28pm tonight while the Cup Final kicks off at 11.38pm.
