Consumer Council suggests bus timetables be displayed
Following the recent tragic accident at the Suva Bus stand which claimed the life of a mother and her daughter the Consumer Council of Fiji is calling on Land Transport Authority to ensure all bus operators display their bus time tables at respective bus stations around the country.

Officer in Charge, Bindula Prasad said the council believes that with proper bus time tables clearly displayed at the bus stations, commuters will know when exactly their bus will arrive or depart.

Prasad added that this will minimize mass of people loitering around the bus stand.

She has also called on regulatory authorities and enforcement agencies responsible for public service vehicles to also monitor the quality of services provided to the public.
