Construction Industry Council hoping Govt will give adequate compensation to workers
President Gordon Jenkins Head of the Construction Industry Council

The head of the Construction Industry Council says they are hoping that the government will be making adequate compensation to workers in the construction industry if they are laid off in the coming weeks and months.

President, Gordon Jenkins says this is being done in other countries and hopefully, it can be done in Fiji.

Jenkins says the Supplementary Budget this Thursday will answer a lot of questions.

Meanwhile, the 3rd Construction Industry Council conference scheduled for June 25, 26, 27 at the Pullman Resort in Nadi has been postponed, a direct result of the arrival of the COVID-19 virus into Fiji.
