Fiji Council of Social Services Executive Director Vani Catanasiga

The Fiji Council of Social Services Executive Director Vani Catanasiga says the consistent concern and need on the ground is food and water and that assessment is based on their daily community observation reports.

She says there have been specific concerns about flooding and the lack of consistent water supply.

Catanasiga adds everyday they compile reports on these on the ground concerns and send it to the National Disaster Management Office and the four Divisional Commissioners.

He says they know that government is doing a good job in mobilizing resources but it is now about making sure that those resources reach people quickly.
