Communities reminded to seek guidance from Disaster Office

As we are now in the cyclone season, the Minister for Rural and Maritime Development, Sakiasi Ditoka is reminding disaster management committees and communities to stay in touch with their Disaster Risk Management Office if they need assistance on training.

Ditoka says there are currently 25 evacuation centres available around Fiji, and by the next financial year, they hope to continue guiding communities to develop their own preparedness plans while providing the necessary support.

He is also urging the public to be mindful of the changing weather patterns that the country is currently experiencing.
