The question of Fiji and its future role in gatherings such as this week’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting or (CHOGM) is just one of the issues that Solomon Islands Foreign Minister Peter Shanel believes will be raised at the gathering in Perth on Friday.
Fiji has been suspended from the Commonwealth and the Pacific Islands Forum.
Shanel told Radio Australia that there should be engagement with Fiji as isolation will not work.
Shanel said it is time for Fiji to be brought back into all the international forums that it is involved in.
The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting will be held from this Friday to Sunday.
