The Commerce Commission is now embarking on a comprehensive review of the Fiji Electricity Authority's tariff rates and will conduct nationwide consultations to get views from the general public.
Commission Chairman Dr. Mahendra Reddy said this is phase two of their review process and its main aim is to ensure all factors which impact on FEA's tariffs are taken into account.
Dr. Reddy said the general public are now invite to make submission and they will also hold public consultations in the weeks ahead.
The Commission stressed that it cannot say at this stage on whether there will be an increase in FEA tariffs at the end of the review process.
