New South Wales Blues hooker Damien Cook says the onus is on the Blues forward pack to allow new halves combination Cody Walker and Nathan Cleary to flourish in the must-win clash tonight.
Cook told NRL.com that he has got to make sure he is getting their forwards on the front foot and to give Cleary some momentum.
He says the have spoken about how best to protect Cleary, whether they act as a bit of a blocker or get out of the road to give him enough space.
The NSW Blues face the Queensland Maroons at 9.10 tonight.
