Civil servant arrested for allegedly breaching curfew and assaulting husband

A 39-year-old civil servant who was arrested for breaching curfew is also being investigated for allegedly assaulting her husband.

Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says the woman who was arrested in Navua is part of the 20 arrests made for breaching curfew.

Tudravu says the lone case recorded in the Central Division involved a fisherman in his 40s who was found walking at a public place.

The Western Division recorded eight cases, Southern Division recorded seven arrests while four arrests were made in the Northern Division.

The four arrests made in the Northern Division were recorded in Nabouwalu and Taveuni.
