Children under 18-years-old can now enter into any Fiji Sports Council sporting facilities provided they are accompanied by a vaccinated adult.

This follows the review of the Safe Re-opening of Sports Framework Amber Protocol by the Health Ministry.

Under the revised Amber Rules, unvaccinated children below the age of 18 years cannot participate in any competitions and tournaments, however, they can access the venues to attend training sessions accompanied by fully vaccinated adults.

Fiji Sports Council Chief Operations Officer Ashni Sharma says they are pleased with the confirmation and clarification from the Ministry and eagerly await to receive the target group into the Council's sports facilities.

The Council wishes to remind the public that all other Amber level restrictions remain in place.
