Children from around Fiji pledge support to end violence against them

Children from around Fiji have pledged their support to end violence against children after the National Children's Forum organised by Save the Children Fiji at Albert Park, Suva came to an end yesterday.

While giving her submission on ways to end violence against children, Ilisapeci Time of Nasinu Secondary School Suva says children are a precious gift from God and they have feelings, and parents and guardians must be there for them.

Time says that a lot of violence that is happening to children is at home by parents or guardians who may have been divorced or single and usually give a lot of stress to the child.

Meanwhile, Abbas Jiwanji of International School Suva says that they wanted to raise awareness through social media as a lot of children are usually distracted by it.

Meanwhile Save the Children Fiji says these submissions regarding ways to stop violence against children will be sent to the government.
