Police are urging Fijians to be considerate of others with their New Year celebrations after they received reports of children throwing water balloons and buckets of water on moving vehicles.

Chief Operations Officer Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu is reminding parents and guardians to closely monitor their children.

A/ACP Driu says such behaviour is dangerous and a safety threat to drivers and other road users, and must stop.

He reiterates the need for celebrations to be held with a high degree of responsibility and consideration of others.
