Chiefs centre Anton Lienert-Brown says they will start the 2021 Super Rugby Aotearoa season with “a chip on their shoulder” after slumping to their worst losing streak last year.

The Chiefs enter the competition after nine consecutive defeats to their New Zealand rivals including two against the Highlanders, who they face this week.

The Chiefs are also two defeats away of matching the worst losing streak for a team from New Zealand in Super Rugby.

They take on the Highlanders at 6.05pm Friday while the Crusaders take on the Hurricanes at 6.05pm Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Waratahs will take on the Western Force in the Super Rugby Australia at 8.45pm Friday while the Brumbies take on the Rebels at the same time on Saturday.
