The Digicel Fiji 7s team coaching staff will make some changes in their run-on team against Russia this afternoon at 5.26pm.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula is expected to give Waqabaca Kotobalavu and Ilai Tinai some game time today after they did not play in the 59-0 win against Malaysia last night.
Tanivula rested Jerry Burotu in the second half while Emosi Vucago and David Batiratu were the other two changes in the backline.
Tanivula said that he will need to watch all his players in action in the pool games to give him an idea on who will be in his starting lineup, when the tournament reaches its crucial stage tomorrow.
Tanivula said they have to give their best in the Hong Kong 7s, a tournament which once was ruled by Fiji.
Fiji’s second pool game is against Russia at 5.26pm before the last pool game against Kenya at 9.50pm.
Results from last night’s pool games, Australia thumped Zimbabwe 42 0, South Africa defeated Spain 33 5, Samoa beat Mexico 64 0 and England hammered China 59-5.
