Many Fijians woke up yesterday and were confused to see the time on their phone ahead by an hour due to the automatic time setting.
Fiji will not have daylight saving this year as the school terms end on the 16th of December.
Minister for Employment, Parveen Bala had earlier said the suspension of this year’s transition to daylight saving is to allow students to focus on their studies and prepare well for their external examinations as confirmed exam dates are scheduled from 29th November to 15th December, 2022.
