Central College crowned U15 champions after 2-0 win over AD Patel

U19 final: Vunimono High vs Suva Muslim, U17 final: Tilak vs Labasa College, Girls final: Tavua College vs Vunimoli Islamia

Central College has been crowned the Fiji Secondary School Football Association Under-15 champion after beating AD Patel 2-0 in the final this afternoon.

Misirasa Dakuitoga struck in the 7th minute, and Dylan Kumar sealed the win in the 42nd minute.

Coach Kamal Rao says many did not believe they would win, as some of their players are in the national team.

While acknowledging the support of the school, parents, and teachers, Rao says the team deserves the victory.

Ecstatic captain Shahil Prasad also thanked their teachers, parents, and all the supporters.

Meanwhile, in the Under-19 grade semi finals, Vunimono High School will take on Suva Muslim College at 8am, while Seaqaqa Central College will face Tabia College at 9.30am.

The final is scheduled for 12.30pm at Govind Park.

In the Under-17 final, Tilak High School will face Labasa College after Tilak beat Labasa Sangam College 4-0 and Labasa College defeated Nadi Sangam College 2-1.

In the Girls Open Grade, Tavua College is through to the final after beating 2024 champions Ba Sanatan College 2-0 in the semifinal.

In the other semifinal, Vunimoli Islamia College defeated Xavier College 6-5 on penalties.

Tavua College will take on Vunimoli Islamia at 11am at Govind Park tomorrow.
