Category 4 TC Harold expected to pass over Northern and Central Vanuatu today

 Category 4 Tropical Cyclone Harold is expected to pass over Northern and Central Vanuatu today.

Weather forecasters are saying that during the coming week there will be increasing threats to Fiji and also southern Tonga.

Hotels and resorts have been advised that it is expected that Fiji will start to see initial impacts from tomorrow night as rain increases over the western, central and northern divisions initially, then the eastern division from Tuesday morning.

Damaging gale force winds gusting to 85 kph are expected over Viti Levu from Wednesday morning, while the southern Mamanucas, southwestern Viti Levu, Vatulele and Kadavu may experience destructive storm force winds later Wednesday.
