Category 2 TC Irene poses no threat to Fiji – Fiji Met

Tropical Cyclone Irene which is a category 2 system that currently lies 876 kilometres South-Southwest of Nadi, does not pose any threat to Fiji.

The Weather Office says TC Irene lies north-east of New Caledonia and South-West of Vanuatu, and continues to track in the South-East direction in the next 12 hours.

They say it is moving in the East-South-East direction at 28 knots and is not expected to further intensify.
