Case of man accused of killing his grandfather transferred to High Court

The case where a man allegedly killed his 86-year-old grandfather in Navokadamu Settlement, Lutu, Wainibukahas been transferred to the Suva High Court.

It is alleged that Charles Laxton Sundar attacked his grandfather with a cane knife, causing serious injuries that resulted in his death.

He is charged with one count of murder.

DPP lawyer Pream Ram told the court that they will need to check Sundar’s psychiatric report again.

The matter will be called before High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar on the 19th of this month.
