A 45‑year‑old carpenter has been remanded by the Lautoka Magistrates Court today for allegedly beating his 25‑year‑old son‑in‑law to death on Monday.
The alleged incident occurred in Delaitomuka in Lautoka.
Salendra Singh is charged with one count of murder.
It is alleged that there was an argument between the accused and the victim at a drinking party after which the accused beat the victim to death.
The case has been adjourned to the 12th of next month.
