COVID vaccination for children aged 5 to 11 years to start on Monday

Children aged from 5 to 11 years will start getting their COVID-19 vaccination from Monday.

Minister for Health, Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete received over 7,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines for children today.

He says training has already been carried out with the senior leadership, predominantly with the nurses for all 4 divisions.

The Health Minister confirms that over the next few days, communications will be sent out on when and where the vaccinations will be happening.

The vaccines have been donated by the New Zealand Government and handed over today at the Fiji Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Services by New Zealand's High Commissioner to Fiji, Charlotte Darlow.
