COVID-19 vaccine to arrive in Fiji tonight

Good news as the first shipment of COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in the country today.

Health Minister, Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete says it is great news for the people of the country and the arrival of the vaccine is timely.

He says Fiji is getting the Astra Zeneca vaccine.

Doctor Waqainabete says as earlier announced, the first set of people to be vaccinated will be front line workers who are the health workers and members of the disciplined forces involved in COVID operations.

The vaccine arrives in Nadi tonight.
