Permanent Secretary for Health Doctor James Fong has confirmed that COVAX is looking at providing some pediatric doses for 5 to 12 year olds in Fiji.
Dr Fong highlighted this when questioned by fijivillage if there is an update on trying to source vaccines for these children.
He says he cannot confirm when the vaccines will be arriving.
Dr Fong they have access to the vaccines.
The Permanent Secretary had earlier highlighted that they were trying to source the pediatric doses for 5 to 12 year olds is a little bit complex as these doses have to be specifically made and are much more expensive.
