COMPOL says they are working to restore trust as concerns rise over unreported crime cases

COMPOL says they are working to restore trust as concerns rise over unreported crime cases

Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu

With many minor crime cases including theft going unreported, the Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu says they are committed to restoring trust by way of improving service delivery and this applies to all aspects of policing and ensuring they get the basics right.

This comes as some cases have been unreported as people believe that it would not be investigated and there would be no outcome.

People say this has resulted in them losing confidence in the Police Force as reporting the matter will be pointless.

While responding to questions, Tudravu is urging people to allow the process of investigation to be conducted.

He says if there are issues with the conduct, then there are also processes in place to deal with those concerns.

If people feel they have not been treated fairly by the Fiji Police Force, they can file a complaint with the Police Internal Affairs.
