COMPOL concerned about increasing number of juveniles and employed people committing serious crimes
Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho

Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho says he is seriously concerned about the increasing number of juveniles and employed people committing serious crimes in the country.

Although the overall crime rate decreased by 6% in the first six months of this year, Qiliho says the statistics give a clear message that the young people need to get proper guidance from the family setting to reduce the number of serious crimes committed by juveniles.

Qiliho also says they will do all they can however Police officers cannot be everywhere 24/7.

Qiliho says the plan to have CCTV cameras in many parts of the country will also greatly assist the Police Force in its work.
