Byrne stresses discipline as Flying Fijians face Canada today

Discipline at the breakdown will be crucial for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians when they face Canada in the second semi-final of the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup in Denver today.

Head coach Mick Byrne says Canada is a strong team and has shown significant improvement this year, something the players need to be mindful of.

Byrne also stated that at this level, playing on the international stage, the players need to deliver their very best.

He added that player selection is always a difficult process, particularly at the international level, where the demands are much higher compared to club competitions.

The Flying Fijians will play Canada at 12.35pm today at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado.

Meanwhile, Samoa will face the USA at 6.35am in the fifth-place playoff, while Tonga takes on Japan at 9.35am in the first semi-final.
