Businessman allegedly tries to bribe police officer
A 43-year-old businessman is in trouble for allegedly trying to bribe a police officer with $30 in the Western Division.

It alleged that the businessman offered the bribe to a traffic officer on Thursday when he was stopped and tested for drunk and drive during the ongoing “Operation Blitz”.

The man was later charged with one count of drunk and drive and one count of bribery.

Kwan Yang Lee has been bailed to appear in the Nadi Magistrates court at a later date.

Meanwhile, police have issued out a stern warning that such behavior will not be tolerated anyone found trying to go against the system will face the consequences of the law.
