Bus services have been minimised today in Suva lockdown area and a review to be done on Monday

President of the Fiji Bus Operators Association, Nisar Ali Shah says bus services have been minimised today in the Suva lockdown area and a review will be done on Monday on the level of services to be provided.

Shah says the operators in Suva will decide on services on Monday and will also take into account the 2 metres physical distancing as that will reduce the number of passengers in a bus to 20.

Shah says they will have a clear indication by Monday.

He says with 20 passengers travelling in a bus, the bus operators will be running on a loss.

Meanwhile, there are almost no bus services in the Lautoka lockdown area.

All bus drivers not driving are also expected to be seriously impacted by this.
