A woman was killed in a bus accident in Carreras in Votualevu in Nadi last night while eight other injured passengers are hospitalised.
She died at the scene of the accident.
A man in his 20s is also admitted in the Lautoka Hospital in serious condition.
Seven other passengers are admitted at the Nadi Hospital.
Police say the driver allegedly lost control of the bus causing it to veer off the road.
The bus driver is currently in custody at the Namaka Police Station as investigations continue.
The road death toll currently stands at 5 compared to 14 for the same period last year.
