Dreams have come true for Bua farmer Ropate Rere after being named in the Fiji Airways Men's National 7s squad for the Perth 7s in Australia.

Rere was also part of the national team that won gold at the Pacific Games last year.

The 23-year-old showed class for the Fiji Barbarians side when participating in the McDonald's Fiji’s Coral Coast 7s.

The former Bua College student scored a try and set up another at the Coral Coast 7s final when Fiji Babas thrashed Saunaka 22-5.

Other players in the team include Waisea Nacuqu, Vuiviyawa Naduvalo, Terio Tamani, Pilipo Bukayaro, Josua Vakurunabili, Joseva Talacolo, Kaminieli Rasaku, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Josese Batirerega, Jeremaia Matana, Suliano Volivoli, Ponipate Loganimasi.

Fiji is in a pool of death alongside New Zealand, France and Samoa.

The Perth 7s will be held from Friday to Sunday.
