Britney Spears slapped by security of NBA star Victor Wembanyama in Las Vegas

Britney Spears is reportedly pressing charges against the NBA's number one basketball pick Victor Wembanyama after she was slapped by one of his security guards in Las Vegas.

Spears was dining in Vegas at Catch restaurant when she spotted the seven foot two inch tall Wembanyama walking through to the casino before he was mobbed by fans.

She reportedly approached him as a fan and tapped him on his back right shoulder, prompting the director of his security for the San Antonio Spurs - who drafted Wembanyama last month - to hit her with the back of his hand.

That caused her to fall to the ground, knocking off her sunglasses.

The head of security came to Spears' table after the incident and apologised, saying: "You understand how it is when you're being swarmed by fans."

It is believed Spears accepted the apology at the time.

However, her representatives have filed a police report with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, citing battery.

Wembanyama was the number one overall 2023 NBA Draft pick.
