Boy passes away after stepping on a broken power line in Navua

A 11-year-old boy has passed away after he allegedly stepped on a live power line in Viwawa, Navua at around 3pm yesterday.

He was found lying motionless near a soil extraction site under a broken live power line which was allegedly damaged by a truck.

Police say the boy was at the scene with friends looking for eels when the incident occurred.
