The Boy Scouts of America will be facing at least 92,700 claims of abuse as former scouts have submitted filings against the organization.

CNN reports the initial estimate of 82,000 claims was released yesterday.

It reports the updated number of 92,700 came from a bankruptcy court.

In a statement, Boy Scouts of America says they are devastated by the number of lives impacted by past abuse in scouting and are moved by the bravery of those who have come forward.
