Bovoro appears for allegedly stoning vehicles and robbing people in Tailevu
Marika Bovoro.

The man who allegedly stoned several vehicles and robbed people after erecting an illegal roadblock along the Kings Highway near Navesau, Tailevu, has appeared in the Rakiraki Magistrates Court.

22-year-old Marika Bovoro has been charged with 1 count of aggravated robbery, 1 count of assault, 1 count of injuring animal, 1 count of common nuisance and 6 counts of damaging property.

Magistrate Lisiate Fotofili has ordered that Bovoro be remanded at Natabua Corrections Centre.

The case has also been transferred to the Lautoka High Court and Bovoro will reappear on the 17th of next month.

Meanwhile Police have managed to recover a number of stolen items from Bovoro.
