Borron House now under the care of Ministry of Economy

President, Jioji Konrote together with the Staff of the Office of the President have formally handed back Borron House to the care and custody of the Construction and Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Economy.

The Office of the President officially acquired the property on 11th July, 2017 where Borron House was used as the State House.

Konrote says that Borron House is a National Heritage Property and as a nation, we need to preserve its integrity and sanctity.

Borron House has hosted many dignified guests - Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Crown Prince of Norway – Crown Prince Haakon, the President of the Republic of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid, the Prime Minister of Samoa, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand, Winston Peters and the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury, Reverend Justin Welby to name a few.
