Book Drive launched to help students with exercise and textbooks

A book drive for exercise and textbooks is being held by the Foundation for the Education of the Needy Children in Fiji.

Officer In Charge National Operations, Priya Preetika Lata says they have assisted more than 3,500 needy children this year alone.

She says their main aim through this book drive is to provide books to those whose parents have lost their jobs or are on reduced hours due to COVID-19.

Lata is encouraging people to drop off new or used books of any genre and type such as new exercise books, notebooks, diaries, and even Novels, cookbooks, textbooks, and comics.

She adds the book drive is being done in partnership with Kasabias Pte Ltd and they have placed boxes at Kasabias outlets in Suva, Samabula, Nakasi, Nausori, Lautoka, Nadi, and Sigatoka.

FENC Fiji says it will distribute these books and ensure it reaches the right hands.
