The body of a one year eleven month old boy was found in the Rewa River earlier today.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Police Spokesperson, Josaia Weicavu says that the baby had been missing from his home since yesterday afternoon.
He adds the boy was playing with his friends at his home in Baulevu.
He says that when the search was conducted, the body was discovered in the Rewa River.
The toddler's house is located near the river.
The body is at the Wainibokasi Hospital waiting for the post mortem.
Police are calling on parents and guardians to be more vigilant in taking care of their children as cases regarding parental negligence have recently increased.
