Police have found the body of the man who is believed to have drowned while diving for freshwater mussels on Friday afternoon.

The body of the man who was in his 50s was found yesterday.

They say a post mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.

Police say the alleged incident occurred in the Baulevu River, near the Wainisasa Settlement.

The alarm was raised by family members who were also diving near to where the victim had disappeared.
