Biosecurity Authority confirm the snake found in Vatuwaqa is a Pacific Boa and poses no harm

The Biosecurity Authority of Fiji has confirmed that the snake that was found in Vatuwaqa this morning was a Pacific Boa.

The snake has been caught and released in Colo-I-Suva.

They say the snake is a native species and poses no harm to people.

A number of people have been sharing photos of the snake since this morning.
