People are being urged to always ask for the identity cards of any person representing themselves as a staff member of the Ministry of Youth and Sports as they are concerned that an impersonator is representing himself as a staff member and even fraudulently obtaining money from individuals for application to the Pacific Labour Scheme.

The Ministry says people should be vigilant of such impersonators and are advising people that any youth and sports development related matters are only carried out from their main branches in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa, respectively.

They say Youth and Sports development matters are not dealt with any other branch offices, however, all the other sub-offices in Nausori, Sigatoka and Nadi will take care of your matters with the Ministry.

The Ministry adds that people should always ensure that they see the identity card to verify that the person with whom you are dealing is a Ministry official and if you are in doubt, call 3315960 or summon a Fiji Police Officer.
