Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Agni Deo Singh

While celebrating Diwali with the students of Vashist Muni Memorial Primary School in Navua Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Agni Deo Singh urged them to be the light of the world through acts of kindness and compassion. Singh says Diwali holds great cultural and religious importance for Hindus all around the globe and it celebrates the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.

He commended the school for organising an event that embraces the principles of Diwali through an effort to spread joy, unity and prosperity among the students.

The Minister says even the smallest act of kindness, such as helping a fellow student, showing empathy towards others, and listening to parents and teachers can have a significant impact on the community as a whole.

Singh further says by being compassionate and considerate, each individual can positively influence others and inspire a chain reaction of goodness.

He encouraged the students and parents to fully utilise the free education assistance, back-to-school support and scholarships to receive better education.
