Bayern destroy Barcelona 8-2 in Champions League quarterfinal

Barcelona have suffered their worst defeat in recent history as they were humiliated 8-2 by German giants Bayern Munich in their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash this morning.

Thomas Muller gave Bayern the early lead but Barcelona equalized soon after through a David Alaba own goal.

However Goals from Ivan Perisic, Serge Gnabry and another goal from Thomas Muller put Bayern in a commanding lead.

Goals from Joshua Kimmich and Robert Lewandowski further piled the misery for the Spanish club before former Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho scored twice to complete the rout.

Luis Suarez scored a consolation goal for Barcelona in the second half.

Manchester City will take on Lyon in the last quarterfinal at 7am tomorrow.
