Bank accounts of Fiji Cancer Society remain frozen
All the bank accounts of the Fiji Cancer Society including the Cancer Society and Walk On Walk Strong bank account remain frozen.

However current executives of the Cancer Society and WOWS are now trying to negotiate with the bank to reopen the accounts.

Acting President of the Fiji Cancer Society, Doctor Tukaha Mua said they had a meeting with the WOWS committee last week and their lawyer has also written to the bank's lawyers.

Doctor Mua said they are now waiting for Westpac before deciding on their next step.

Doctor Mua maintains they still cannot go ahead with the Fiji Cancer Society AGM as all their documents were deleted and they are still waiting for a response from the Police Cyber Crime Unit.

The Walk On Walk Strong Committee has already called on the Fiji Cancer Society to resolve its internal issues as it is stopping the promised assistance to the children living with cancer and their parents.

Walk On Walk Strong Fiji Chairman, Makrava Wilson said all their plans are on hold.

Wilson has confirmed that all the funds amounting to half a million dollars is secure to assist the children living with cancer however they cannot be accessed due to the freezing of the bank accounts after problems in the Fiji Cancer Society.
