FijiFirst Leader Voreqe Bainimarama said his main focus is to win all the 50 seats in next month’s general elections.

While speaking to Radio Tarana in Auckland, Bainimarama said he knows that the Fiji Sun poll has revealed that he currently has 86 percent of the support.

However, he wants more numbers as he does not want people who oppose the party’s development agenda.

Bainimarama said his vision is also clearly stated in the 2013 constitution which focuses on equal citizenry and a united country.

The FijiFirst Leader said it also seems that the marriage of convenience or post coalition between the Social Democratic Liberal Party and the Fiji Labour Party will fall apart due to opposing views.

Bainimarama has again said that he will accept the result of the 2014 general elections.

Meanwhile, in an interview with whaleoil.co.nz, a question was raised on the assumption that if Bainimarama lost the election, he would not accept the results.

Bainimarama was adamant that in that event he would retire and spend time with his 14 grandchildren.

He does not think that is going to happen though, but is happy that his legacy will be a fair constitution, a new democracy with proper rules and the removal of race based laws and policies.
