Suspended Leader of the Opposition, Voreqe Bainimarama says he apologises to the public as part of the conditions imposed by parliament.

A post on the official FijiFirst Party Facebook quotes Bainimarama saying that he received at 6.05pm this evening, Monday 20th February 2023, the formal notification of his suspension from Parliament and various other terms and conditions imposed by Parliament in relation to his suspension.

Bainimarama says he received this evening's notification from the Speaker of Parliament.

He says one of the conditions imposed by Parliament in relation to his suspension from Parliament is that he apologises to the Fijian public.

Bainimarama says it is in this context that he apologises to the Fijian public.
