Bainimarama honoured for being a champion in the fight against climate change
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama received a plaque from the Samoan Ambassador to Fiji Ali’ioaiga Feturi Elisaia.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has been honoured by 14 Pacific Island countries part of the Regional Pacific Nationally Determined Contribution Hub for his role in championing the fight against climate change.

While presenting the token of appreciation to Bainimarama, the Samoan Ambassador to Fiji Ali’ioaiga Feturi Elisaia says Bainimarama has been a champion on behalf of Fiji, the Pacific region and all small islands developing states.

Elisaia says he just presented his credentials last month but he will not shy away to publicly acknowledge the role Bainimarama plays.

Bainimarama today launched the Regional Pacific Nationally Determined Contribution Hubs’ Strategy 2030 which is a game plan for climate action for the Pacific Region for the next decade.
