Ba stuns Waitakere to repeat historic win

Ba has repeated their 2007 O-league heroics by defeating Waitakere United 3-2 this afternoon at Govind Park.

Coming into the match this afternoon, was goal keeper Jone Ralulu who had not conceded a goal in the previous 5 local matches, but that all changed in the 31st minute when a floating cross by Alan Pierce found Matthew Cannon who headed the ball into the back of the net to give Waitakere the lead.

Four minutes later Ba’s Sakeasa drove a kick from 35 meters out to beat Daniel Robinson to level the score that remained the same until half time.

The second half saw goals to Jone Salauneune and Malakai Kainihewe with Waitakere pulling back a late goal.

Ba needs now to defeat AS Tefana with needed goals on the 31st of this month to stand a chance of qualifying for the O-league finals.
